London hotels await the arrival of the fashion elite!!
So there are just 2 weeks to go until the start of the 2011 London Fashion Week, this year’s event which runs from 18th Feb to 22nd of Feb , promises to be as fabulous and theatrical as ever! For those wanting to prolong the event (and for those not in the trade who want to see and buy next season’s must have items) Somerset House also hosts London Fashion Weekend from 24th-27th Feb.
If you fancy joining the fashionista’s you may want to book a stay at the official hotel of London Fashion Week, The May Fair. Let’s face it, all year round this hotel is THE place to be and be seen by celebrities ranging from Kerry Katona to Paris Hilton! The hotel has even created a special menu exclusively for London Fashion Week guests! Let’s face it you’d never expect somewhere of this quality to be easy on your purse but sometimes it’s worth forking out for something a bit special.
If you are coming to town for the London Fashion Weekend and you want a hotel that is just a 5 minute walk from Somerset House, look no further than the 5* The Waldorf Hilton. If you are quick you can still snap up a room at up to 20% off when you are booking in advance.
If you don’t mind too much where you are staying but are looking for a great deal so that you have spare cash for designer outfits and cocktails then you might want to have a look at one of our Top Secret Hotels. At the moment we have prices for Saturday 26th Feb from £85!! At the moment we are running a Top Secret sale, offering hotels around the UK for up to a whopping 50% off! Check it out NOW before they all sell out.
Maybe you are just like me and like looking at the pictures of the celebrity outfits seen on the front rows of the shows…in which case I’ll keep an eye out for the best and the worst and report back on the blog once they have rolled up the red carpets and shipped out!

london hotel slebbb nightclubs
In the London daily tidings that is the legendary ‘Metro’ we’re always reading about slebs/celebs/people that have a mild relation or tenuous link to something vaguely interesting, and this week I noticed several mentions of both clubs; Whiskey Mist, and Bunglow 8. Well, nothing of note there I hear you say, except, EXCEPT! Did ye know people of London that these particular two prestigious night club establishments are both part of two equally famous London hotels?! Well, yes, not the most grandest of announcements, but to those of us mere mortals who don’t get out much it may be a tiny revelation!
So! Just this Wednesday gornnnn sir, Princess B (Beatrice to you m’lord) and sis Princess Eugenie (bless) were quaffing back the Cristal at Whiskey Mist, nightclub to the stars, and part of the towering legend that is the Hilton on Park Lane, one of my faves dontchaknow.
And then and then and then! On Thursday night, the relentlessly fantastically useful and world-changing entity, Peaches Geldof, was papped at Bungalow 8, again, this celeb-draw-space, is part of the ridiculously trendy St Martin’s Lane hotel.
Maybeeeee we should start a new feature at the London hotel experts on papped-celebs at our hotel partners…. err or maybe we won’t (plus, we’d go mad camping out with the paps at the May Fair).
Ok, snooping done!

The World Cup has officially kicked off at the May Fair!
To celebrate the summer kick off, and get us in the mood for the football season, lastminute.com held a World Cup event yesterday at stunning The May Fair Hotel, in their signature suites.
For the Men (the Warriors) the Amarillo Suite showed non-stop football clips, housed a grooming expert, playstation, fuss-ball, beer on ice in the bath – you get the picture – oh, and of course football stars galore, Ian Wright, Paul Merson, all getting involved and getting us all excited about the upcoming world cup.
Over in the magenta-haven that is the Schiaparelli suite for the ladies (the footy widows), manicures, pedicures, non-stop Sex and the city, non-stop pampering, oh, and Kirsty Gallacher, and celebs galore milling in and out all day long.
And if that wasn’t enough, I was privileged enough to then join the evening party on the rootop suite that is the May Fair hotel’s penthouse suite – ohhh yes, just as good as it sounds. Not only was it Pimms-o-clock all night long, not only a pick n’mix sweet shop, and fab ice-creams, but more celebs than I think I have ever seen in one room. Thank goodness for the Pimms or I think I would still be starstruck!
The evening moved on with Louice Spence, lastminute.com’s celeb ambassador presenting his hilarious viral video for lastminute.com.
