Happy (London) Camping!!!
Great to see such phenomenally dedicated support for the Royal Wedding on Friday…
Outside Westminster Abbey there’s already a menagerie of pitched tents, buskers, and strange men selling even stranger paintings!
There’s tourists, campers, journalists, photographers, the sunny weather, there’s certainly a massive buzz in the air, it’s blimmin’ lovely out there.
We at the London Hotel Experts wish all the campers and everyone else a great day on Friday

A haven in the heart of London, Chuan Spa will be London’s first hotel spa to the incorporate the ancient principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into its signature treatments, ambiance and décor. The Chinese word “Chuan” means flowing water and is considered the foundation of life.
Dating back thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine is acclaimed for its ability to harmonize body and soul, enrich personal happiness and fulfilment. The philosophy uses the principle of the balance of the five natural elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water and the body’s opposing yet mutually dependent halves, Ying and Yang. Emphasising a holistic approach, therapists will adopt these guiding principles, using energy flows, basic elemental forces and the influence of hot and cold to create individual treatment plans.
Upon entering, guests will experience the Chinese garden inspired ambiance designed to gently nurture Jing (life force), Qi (vital energy) and Shen (mind and spirit). Over a cup of element tea, guests will meet their therapist to discuss the treatment plan addressing the re-balancing of their five elements and personal Ying and Yang. Guests will then relax in the vitality pool and salt-sauna before visiting the spa treatment area where fragrant candles and soothing music will provide a calming environment. Afterwards, guests are invited to stay for a glass of Chuan tea and fresh fruit platter in the contemplation area.
For the fitness enthusiast, Chuan Spa will also offer a fully equipped fitness centre with Technogym cardio and resistance equipment, free weights and a 16 metre swimming pool, located in a former bank vault.
Located in an unrivalled position at the top of Regent Street, Chuan Spa at The Langham, London is the ultimate urban retreat offering a serene and tranquil environment in the heart of the West End, and the first European outpost of this critically acclaimed and prestigious spa brand.
Thank you for your entries and GOOD LUCK!!!

A London Hotel offering a retreat from the hustle and bustle
I have recently taken up running and other than the health benefits/sense of achievement etc I find one of the major benefits is being able to have time to myself in peace and quiet away from any noise or stress at home. This got me thinking that this is something I like to experience when I am taking a holiday or short break, however I’ve never really found the ideal London hotel to stay in where you can get some peace and quiet but also be close to the attractions of London, that is until now…
The Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour, is set, unsurpisingly from it’s name in the exclusive Chelsea Harbour! You will only be a 5 minute walk from the boutique shops of Kings Road, the Imperial Wharf overground station is just behind the hotel and takes you to Clapham Juntion in 4 minutes or Westfield Shopping centre in 7 minutes. You are so close to the centre of the city but there is something nice about being able to retreat back to the harbour and eating breakfast on the balcony looking at the boats on the water!
The hotel itself is an all suite hotel, no upgrade required you are already getting a great standard of bedroom, the extra space adding to the relaxing location of the hotel. The rooms all have 2 TV’s, 3 telephones, mini-bar, safe, bathrobes, umbrella, separate sitting seating area, iron and ironing board, air conditioning system and self controlled heating. The bathrooms are also a generous size with separate shower and bath. The restaurant, TwentyTen offers a great selection of seasonal and regional food, based on the concept of ‘Art de Vivre’ (the art of living), offering comfortable, yet smart contemporary setting. The TwentyTen lounge serves drinks, casual dining and afternoon tea.
The jewel in their crown is the recently re-opened Blue Harbour Spa, which has just finshed undergoing an extensive refurbishment. They boast a 17 metre indoor swimming pool with swan neck waterfalls and body jets. There is a fitness suite, sauna and steam rooms as well as 6 treatment rooms, a nail bar and hair salon. The gym is open to hotel residents until 22:00 and the spa is open from 06:30 to 21:00. The perfect excuse to extend your stay and experience their signature treatment; a relaxing, warm, dripping essential oil candle massage.
If you fancy a break at the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour there is an extra incentive…until the end of the year you can save 30% when you stay for 3 nights! This offer is subject to availability so grab it now while it’s still available.
